Snow in Austin - What Fun

This much snow in Austin is really unusual, so the grandkids made the most of it. These are just three of 12 that Arrion shared with us. Kaylee looks really neat in her snow gear!

 

With help from Mom, they even had enough snow for a snow man.

They made snow angels, as well.

  

Alex has really wanted to get some real snow - well, her it is!

 

It was another very good day!  ;-)

Valentine Weekend Puzzles

A reason to visit grandchildren

Alex, he'll be six in late April, likes Grandma to read him books as he goes to bed.... of course! One night this visit, Grandpa got the honor, as well. Also, of course, he seems to prefer to lay in Grandpa and Grandma's bed, rather than his own.

This time, Grandma Nancy remembered to get the camera out, before we returned him to his own bed.
This is why we visit as often as we can.

Austin to Hollister

Made it home in eleven hours, to the minute.... very cold here... no precipitation.
Nice drive, on the Interstates, all the way home.

Robins in the Snow

A couple of weeks ago I saw a dozen or more pairs of robins up the hill when I was out for a walk. I didn't have my camera. Well.......

Yesterday, I had my camera when I saw many robins in the snow outside my office. As I slipped out, they sort of flew away, but I captured a few of them....

 

 Just one, but I got him there by the water coming out the the ground.

Used the telephoto feature to good advantage.
