Annette and Larry visited this weekend

Annette and Larry flew in to Branson Airport from Provo, via Denver, for the weekend (arrived Fri, returned Mon). 

Are they arriving or leaving? Actually, arriving - but looked much the same leaving. Beautiful weather, in the 50s!

Allison arranged four days off, so she fully participated in our fun weekend. Here I caught the sisters, before I forgot to do it!  ;-) They went shopping Saturday morning for some 'girl-time!'

We went out to eat, once a day: BBQ, Cafeteria, Restaurant. Nice combination.

Saturday evening, we all worked on a puzzle, while and Indian Jones movie ran, we caught the end of "The Bodyguard," and, ran the CNN video snippet of Kevin Costner at Whitney Houston funeral.

The puzzle - we all five took a part, from time to time, to get it finished. A good family activity.

Another really great weekend!  ;-)

It must be a pretty special winter when I feel compelled to take photos of our snow today about noon. This is our 'biggest snow of the year' so far. And, I walked out in shorts and t-shirt to take them!

It started as big flakes, then a steady stream of 'straight down' regular flakes. Accumulation of probably close to the three inches they predicted... but most melted on the streets, etc. Only stuck to cold surfaces.

Although it 'piled up' on the car, note that ground, under eve, on left, is not even covered.

Up the street to the north. Pretty ferocious storm right? Not!  ;-)

And, of course, the back deck. The cloud cover is still heavy enough I can see our street light is on, just after noon. But, the radar on the computer suggests the 'storm' has mostly passed us by. I don't think it will be in a hurry to melt, but I'm confident it will.

Overall, a pretty nice day - especially to sit in the house, have a bowl of soup, and enjoy!  ;-)

To complete the NFL season, we worked on the one puzzle that we had been putting off during the Big Game. We finished during the post-game show. The tree (upper left) was tough, needed to use more shapes than colors, even with the bigger pieces. Good therapy for Nancy. We each did about half of it, overall. Good for us!  ;-)

This may be the first photo of her rose-colored cane, as well. Oh, there is 'froggy' in the background, as well. Ah, the memories of these last couple of weeks! Doing well, 'normal' is just around the corner!  ;-)

I was a very good football game, a very good day!  ;-)

 The "Lost Two Weeks" - and Recovery!

On January 22, just two weeks ago, today (Super Bowl Sunday), Nancy suffered a stroke (brain stem/posterior brain) and has been in the hospital and a week of Acute Rehabilitation. She returned home on Friday, and her recovery is going very well. She still has some double-vision/vertigo, so she has a cane for balance. However, through the excellent rehab, she has regained all of her strength, she can see and read (only some more distant vision on 'right' yet), and a few small problems remain. She continue to improve toward prior 'normal' every day.  A small miracle, thank you. I wanted to post a couple of photos from last weekend when Arrion came up and her brother, Al, came down, to visit. It was wonderful to have Allison here, every day, to support each of our efforts. THANKS!

Happy brother and sister! The patch was a big help in getting through the early double-vision set of issues. It has not been used for several days, now. 

On Saturday, Al went out to lunch with Allison and Arrion. A nice photo from that event.

Nice to have her back home. Looking forward to a visit from Annette and Larry in a couple of weeks.
