Nice visit to a Crafts Mall

Nice visit to a Crafts Mall

Had a nice visit to the Branson Crafts Mall - looking for a new sign for the cabin.

We were pretty happy to find this one. The exercise was good, for January, as well!

It was a pretty nice day! ;-)

Robins in the Snow - January 4 - in front of the cabin

Robins in the Snow - January 4 - in front of the cabin

We had hoped that early snow would be "it" for this season, but, of course, that was incorrect.

We got to Austin and back without weather issues, but as soon as we got settled in the cabin, we woke up to a few more inches... with hundreds of robins out on the road in front of the house.

I'm posting this on the 9th, actually, and we got about this much more snow, again, a couple days ago.

Supposed to be in the 50s for the weekend... it would be nice!  ;-)

Austin Activities in the New Year - 2014

Austin Activities in the New Year - 2014

Alex was able to recruit Annette, Larry, and Ben to play with his new game, on New Year's Eve.

One activity planned for the new year was a leather project for cub scouts, for Alex. Annette and Larry brought some tools, and made a visit to the leather store, to set up a good working area.

Kaylee wanted to learn the basics, as well. So, the bought a couple of kits they could both make, while Alex practiced his skills for a more advanced project for scouts.

Here was the Coin Purse from the kit that Alex made. Very nice.

Here, Alex shared his coin purse project with Grandma. She told him about making one like that when she was about his age, as well. She told him he did a very nice job!

With help from Annette, Kaylee was able to finish her kit coin purse, as well.

Annette was nice enough to share this photo. She posted on Facebook that our family still enjoys books both in print and electronically. Here, I was enjoying the "Presidents" book that Alex had received for Christmas. Very Good Stuff! Nancy was reading her iPad.

Didn't take a lot of photos this extended trip, but spent a lot of time doing things with everyone. Arrion finished off the extended holiday by starting to put away the decorations from the Christmas tree. I thought that an "event" worthy of a photo. Nice way to end this, and get on with the year!

Happy New Year to one and all! ;-)
