Comments and observations of a retired university professor; expect at least one entry per week. This blog began before retirement, and continues into "retirement" - to document retirement activities, including commentary, and supplementing my other, more specific, blogs. This has also served as our Travel Blog until Oct 2015.

Home from Austin
Took the Interstate Highways all the way back to Springfield, then home. ELEVEN HOURS! Through Waco, Ft. Worth, OK city, Tulsa, Joplin... Had a great visit. Nice to be home.
Thanks! I know. I'm working through in my mind how to make them both more efficient and more effective. I think this will continue to be the "main" one, for more personal stuff.
It has effectively replaced the "travel journal" I used to keep, on a web page. The new one I started this summer will have a place, but I'm not yet convinced what it is.
Note: I'm no longer the major photographer for the family... that makes some difference. But, I'm not going to stop taking photos. I'm really more interested in "recording ancestor stories" - where I'm the ancestor, I guess. Haven't figured that out yet, for sure, but there will be some more changes, as priorities become more clear.

Just a quick note to let you know that I check your blog every day. I don't take the time to comment. However I do enjoy all of the posts!
