Final night of Austin May Visit

Final night of Austin May Visit

Kaylee Pre-K Cardinal Celebration Night

Kaylee was very proud to be going to Pre-K Cardinal "graduation" tonight - Next fall she will be in Kindergarten at Nan Clayton Elementary - a full-fledged Cardinal. Her Pre-K this year was at Clayton, as well. The celebration included two other classes from the Circle C Development Center, as well (where she went her first few years of pre-school).

The whole class up on the stage...

Kaylee's class is on the right, she is middle of front row, in pink. They are singing a song.

A decent closeup from the distance I was... lots of duds, of course. I liked this one.

They then came down to sit in front, to watch the slide show of the year...

They were asked to wave for those in back to take a photo.

Here a couple of images I got from the slide show:

Kaylee on left, above; on right, below:

Arrion, Ben and Alex waiting for the program to begin:

Arrion took this one of us:

Grandma Nancy with Alex, after the program; Ben in the background.

I took a new photo of the house, before we left for the celebration. What fun!

Great visit! Heading back to Hollister, Missouri, Wednesday morning...

Austin May Visit - Some early photos

Austin May Visit
Some early photos

Arrived in Austin last Friday night, for the extended weekend. We be here through Tuesday night for Kaylee's Pre-K Graduation. Home on Wednesday. Here are a few random images from the weekend.

Alex is helping Grandma with a word game on her iPad - nice Iowa State t-shirt, Alex!

Kaylee and I were watching Strawberry Shortcake on TV.

Here, the girls are on the iphone and ipad... get the idea?

Hair day for Kaylee... here in a braid.

Alex playing a computer game in the background, with friend on the telephone... as well! ;-)

We will not be able to go to Kaylee's dance recital (ballet and tap) but got to see one of her costumes, the bee... couple of poses here...  ;-)

What fun!  ;-)

Mother's Day Puzzle

Mother's Day Puzzle

This was actually a "while watching The Player's Championsip golf tournament on both Saturday and Sunday" puzzle - as much as a Mother's Day puzzle... but, the title above looks better, and... the mother in the house really enjoyed this puzzle. She did all the quilts across the bottom and left side, especially, all by herself, and really enjoyed it. I helped with the white houses, and finishing... It was a neat puzzle, just the kind we like.

Happy day... and Tiger won, again, as well. We liked that! Liked Cochran winning Survivor, as well!

Happy Mother's Day!  ;-)

May 3-4 in Hollister - Snow, birds and squirrels

May 3-4 in Hollister - Snow, birds and squirrels

On Wednesday, it was in the 70s - on Thursday morning, it snowed and never got out of the 30s.
Wednesday afternoon, we put out the goldfinch food sack... I'd seen as many as four male goldfinches flying in the back yard. It is now Saturday, and they have found the feeders. Could only catch the one male goldfinch clean... with two other finches enjoying, as well. Many have come and gone. Fun. Also saw at least one cardinal and one blue jay stop by... two cold on deck to just sit and watch. Perhaps in the 50s, today. Put out the humming bird feeder out the kitchen window.

The squirrel has been eating at the block feeder, coming down from the top... eats, falls off, climbs back up and has at it some more. He is on the ground, below, just left of white rock, center...  ;-)

Back into the 70s (average) in a few days...  ;-)
